Principal and Owner

Dave’s leadership, drive to be the best and extensive knowledge of the real estate auction industry have been instrumental in Hudson & Marshall’s success. As the owner, he is a key force in developing the company's robust auction platform and expanding the business with the marketplace. His strategies on business development, marketing and a customer-centric approach have made Hudson & Marshall one of the most respected and successful auction companies in America.

A supporter of many charities, Dave is especially active in the American Cancer Society, in honor of his friend and business partner, Pat Harvill.

Dave is a licensed broker and a member of the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA), National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) and the National Auctioneers Association. He is a graduate of Northern Arizona University.

 

Jeff Abernathy

COO

Jeff is responsible for ensuring that the real estate auction firm, which specializes in bank-owned foreclosure listings, continues to grow market share while maintaining its national reputation for integrity and transparency. Since joining Hudson & Marshall in June 2008, Jeff has orchestrated a revitalization of its infrastructure, adding an online platform that allows both pre-event and simultaneous bidding online. Technical systems, operations policies and a fully-trained staff are now maintained at 50% excess capacity to allow scalable response to sudden upticks in volume. As a result, the company is now capable of selling 20,000 properties each year through its marketing and auction programs, with about 75% selling online. Jeff began his career in industrial engineering, gaining a foundation in logic-based problem-solving before going back for an MBA in Information Technology. With that, he joined Deloitte Consulting and spent a decade working with numerous companies, including several Fortune 100 firms, developing and implementing technology strategies across a wide variety of industries. After Deloitte he ran the operations for another consulting firm. When it was bought by Hitachi, he became VP of HR for Hitachi Consulting.

Kelly-Hinerman

Kelly Hinerman

Executive Vice President of Operations

Kelly brings more than 30 years of default industry experience to the company. He oversees the real estate auction firm's day-to-day operations, ensuring that each property brought into the auction pipeline moves efficiently from evaluation and contracting to marketing, sale, closing and disbursement of funds. He is responsible for ensuring that communication is provided to every buyer, seller and agent so they completely understand the entire process, and that every offer receives a quick reply. Joining Hudson & Marshall in June 2008, Kelly quickly oversaw system upgrades that moved auction operations online. As a result, early bidding and simulcast bidding can now be made from anywhere in the world. Prior to coming to Hudson & Marshall, Kelly was VP of Default Operations at JP Morgan Chase, responsible for developing and managing the Collateral Assessment Department. Earlier in his career, he was a REALTOR, before moving into default servicing and joining Sovran Mortgage Company. He then worked at Freddie Mac as REO Operations Manager, CitiMortgage as Vice President of REO and later VP of Foreclosure, and also Fannie Mae as Midwest Regional REO Manager.

 

Ami Curtis

Executive Vice President of Products and Strategy

Ami works closely with product marketing, market intelligence, strategic planning, worldwide sales and other business unit leaders to identify and engage with disposition partners and maximize the company’s customer satisfaction and impact in the industry. Ami brings 20 years of servicing experience to Hudson & Marshall, having held lead roles in default oversight, risk management, compliance, client relations, supplier procurement, asset management, accelerated marketing and alternative disposition. Her career is highlighted by positions with leading companies such as Wells Fargo, Citi and Chevy Chase Bank. Ami was also co-creator of the Five Star Institute’s “FORCE”, where her founding vision and contributions helped it become one of the most dynamic trade organizations in the default servicing industry.
